William L. “Bill” Taylor is a third generation resident of the Peninsula region of the San Francisco Bay Area.   Bill’s passion is in real estate and in the great design and construction of architecturally significant, or estate quality homes.  As an award winning developer and builder, of luxury homes from Los Gatos to Atherton, Bill brings over twenty five years of “hands on” experience with fine homes that can not be matched by mere realtors.

Bill specializes in the acquisition, disposition and development of newly constructed estate quality homes; and in more mature properties requiring razing or complete renovation.  His knowledge of construction, local land use, planning issues and permit processing on a city by city basis has proved invaluable to his clients.

He is also a pioneer in the green building industry.  His construction company, W. L. Taylor Construction, Inc. won the Town of Atherton’s first Green Building Award in 2007, and completed one of the first GreenPoint Rated homes in Los Altos in 2008.

Bill’s clients are titans of Silicon Valley and global business including: executives of large financial institutions, Venture Capitalists, CEOs of multinational software companies, CEOs of multinational manufacturing companies, leading physicians, leading attorneys, real estate developers, and others. 

For many of these high profile clients, discretion is of critical importance.  Bill has earned a reputation for maintaining the privacy of his clients, and much of his business is derived from referral or repeat customers.

Bills’ success stems from his ability to listen to his clients and understand precisely what they are trying to accomplish, and then delivering it.  Based upon decades of dealing with sellers, buyers, subcontractors, and government officials, Bill is a master negotiator.

Bill has been a licensed Realtor since 1992, and licensed General Contractor since 1990,  he is also a member of the California Association of Realtors, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors, American Institute of Architects, and a past member of the Sunset Magazine’s Western Home Alliance (acknowledged by Sunset as “one of the West’s Best Builders”.  Bill is a Green Building expert and has been certified by BuildIT Green as a Certified Green Building Professional, and Certified GreenPoint Rater.  Bill has consulted with the Town of Atherton on their Green Building program, and to private individuals.

Bill lives in Los Gatos with his wife and two sons.  He is a trained leader in the Boy Scouts of America, Cubmaster for Pack 509 in the Los Gatos Mountains, and Board Memebr of the Loma Public Education Fund.
